Specialty Chemicals Specialist (Coatings)

As a coatings development lead, you will be responsible for leading the development, formulation, and optimization of construction coatings. This includes waterproofing coatings (acrylic, PU, epoxy, hybrid systems), protective and decorative coatings (cementitious, elastomeric, primers, sealers), floor coatings, and industrial protective coatings. Your role involves evaluating and selecting raw materials like polymers, additives, pigments, and fillers based on performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability criteria. You will conduct application trials, performance testing, and benchmarking against market standards. Troubleshooting coating performance issues during formulation scale-up and application at customer sites is also a key part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Production, QC, Marketing, and Sales for product scale-up and commercialization is crucial. Additionally, you will support customers with on-site trials, technical presentations, and application guidance. It is important to stay updated on the latest market trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to construction coatings. You will also be involved in preparing technical documentation, test reports, and contributing to patent/IP generation when applicable.
