Specialist Business Analyst

**Job Description** As a Specialist Business Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting global execution goals, improving analysis throughput, and enhancing client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading end-to-end business analysis for complex client implementations, involving requirements gathering, functional design, and solution validation. - Driving improvements in sprint throughput and implementation quality by delivering detailed analysis and collaborating closely with ISD and Professional Services teams. - Engaging directly with clients to understand workflows, translate needs into clear specifications, and ensure solution design meets business and technical requirements. - Producing and maintaining artefacts such as functional specs, report mappings, interface definitions, and process documentation. - Leveraging SQL and data analysis techniques to support requirements validation, report mapping, data migration, and troubleshooting. - Acting as a subject matter expert in securities lending, trade lifecycle, settlements, and post-trade operations to inform design decisions. - Contributing to the reduction of client escalations and delivery delays through proactive planning and issue resolution. - Supporting the upskilling of junior team members by sharing expertise and embedding standards and best practices. - Collaborating with global peers to align on delivery approaches, cross-train teams, and extend business analysis coverage across time zones. - Participating in workshops, design sessions, and user acceptance testing with client stakeholders to validate end solutions. - Playing a key role in building a strong, SME-led business analyst presence in Bengaluru. **Qualifications Required** - 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related consulting roles in financial software delivery. - Demonstrated expertise in gathering and analyzing complex requirements in capital markets, preferably in securities finance or post-trade processing. - Proficiency in SQL, data mapping, and data validation techniques for reporting, reconciliation, and system integration. - Strong documentation and presentation skills for creating clear artefacts for both business and technical audiences. - Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models, with knowledge of sprint planning and iterative delivery cycles. - Track record of reducing delivery delays, improving throughput, and enhancing solution quality. - Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with client-facing experience. - Familiarity with Books and Records systems, trade matching, settlements, or securities lending operations is advantageous. - Ability to mentor and guide junior analysts while adhering to global standards and processes.
