Spanish Teacher

As a Spanish Teacher at Bloomingdale International School in Vijayawada, India, you will have the opportunity to inspire students to embrace language learning and become culturally fluent global citizens. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered Spanish lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum at different levels (PYP, MYP, or DP). Your role will involve fostering a deep appreciation for the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures through immersive classroom experiences, developing students" proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish, and promoting intercultural understanding. Collaboration with colleagues across disciplines to create transdisciplinary units and projects, organizing Spanish language clubs, cultural exchange programs, and international events, as well as participating in professional development initiatives will be essential aspects of your role. Maintaining clear communication with students, parents, and peers to strengthen community ties will also be a key responsibility. The ideal candidate for this position holds a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Spanish, Language Education, Linguistics, or a related field. Prior experience in teaching in an IB school or an international curriculum setting is preferred, along with familiarity with IB PYP, MYP, or DP frameworks. Strong communication skills, effective classroom management strategies, the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and an innovative approach to language education are crucial for success in this role.
