Sourcing Engineer - Electronics

As a Sourcing & Procurement professional specializing in electronic components, your role involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and building supplier databases. Your responsibilities include negotiating prices and terms, as well as utilizing your knowledge of costing methods and BOM management to enhance product and project outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers for electronic components while ensuring the quality of RFQ, reliability, and timely delivery. - Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth operations. - Negotiating contracts pricing effectively and monitoring supplier performance. - Analyzing costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing cost reduction strategies. - Conducting Cost Analysis to pinpoint opportunities for reducing BOM Cost. - Exploring alternative sourcing options to optimize cost and lead time. - Monitoring market trends and supplier pricing to ensure competitive sourcing. - Preparing accurate cost estimates, including activity-based costing, and quoting. - Monitoring inventory levels, optimizing stock, and minimizing inventory holding costs. - Issuing Purchase orders for electronic components promptly to ensure on-time delivery. Qualifications Required: - Good knowledge of electronics components, manufacturing processes, and sourcing strategies. - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics Only). - Minimum 6-8 years of experience in the EMS background. - Proficiency in negotiating effectively with suppliers on price, terms, and conditions. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.,
