Job Title : Sound Recordist (VIT Community Radio)

Job Location - Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India

Job Description
The Sound Recordist is responsible for capturing, editing, and managing high-quality audio content for VIT Community Radio. This role requires technical expertise in sound recording and a keen ear for clarity and sound quality.

Responsibilities:

Record live and pre-recorded audio segments, including interviews, shows, and events.
Operate and maintain audio recording equipment and software.
Edit and mix audio recordings to ensure clear and balanced sound.
Collaborate with radio hosts and producers to meet technical and creative requirements.
Manage the audio archive and ensure proper labelling and storage of files.
Troubleshoot technical issues promptly during recordings or broadcasts.
Adhere to broadcast standards and audio quality guidelines.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or degree in Audio Engineering, Media Production, or related field.
Proven experience with professional audio recording equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
