Solution Engineer - SDI

Job Summary:

As a Solution Engineer SDI, you will be a key contributor in the pre-sales process, acting as the technical lead for our regional sales team. You will evaluate potential customer needs, develop solutions from concept to implementation, and collaborate with master architects, engineers, and consultants to craft sustainable IT roadmaps that achieve overall customer objectives.

• Hyperconvergence (HCI) and Software-defined Storage
• Backup
• DC/DR Solutions
• Active Directory
• Public Cloud Services (AWS/Azure/GCP, etc.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise and credibility to an account team on designated focus areas.
• Conduct customer presentations on Power Bridge value proposition and technical solution set.
• Assist sales account managers with account planning for hardware, software, and services opportunity development.
• Support project management for complex presales engagements.
• Complete technical sections for RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.
• Collect customer business and technical requirements and determine Power Bridge recommended solutions.
• Develop solution architecture, proposals, and presentations for recommended solutions.
• Act as liaison to customer technical staff regarding solution and implementation specifics.
• Serve as liaison between sales team and professional services organization to vet solution recommendations and complete technical portions of SOWs.
• Act as technical liaison and Power Bridge ambassador with field OEM sales and technical teams.
• Assist sales teams in addressing customer satisfaction issues related to technical aspects of recommended solutions or implementation.
• Support in developing customer remediation or get well plans, as needed.
• Assist sales and services management in identifying candidate solution areas for Power Bridge development/investment.
• Plan and design solutions for multi-vendor Data Center Solutions.
• Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies.
• Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer-specific certifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
• 8+ years of experience in SDI-related technologies, preferably in a system-integrated company or IT services provider.
• Professional certifications such as VCP, MCSE, ITIL are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Customer-centric mindset with focus on delivering exceptional service.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required.
