Solution Architect, VP

Role Overview: Join NatWest Digital X as a Solution Architect where you will lead the solution architecture definition for your assigned change program, deliver business outcomes for customers and colleagues, and drive technology innovation by evaluating emerging technologies. This role offers an opportunity to make a far-reaching impact through your work at the vice president level. Key Responsibilities: - Architect customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust digital products, solutions, and services aligning with the bank's strategic target architecture - Contribute to the growth of architecting capability and community by sharing knowledge, best practices, and key learnings, and building capability in others through coaching, mentoring, and teaching - Support the realisation of Enterprise and Solution Architecture by providing technical guidance, resolving architectural impediments, and championing architecture patterns and practices - Influence stakeholders to embed the reuse of digital capabilities, contribute to simplification, and realise the bank's strategic target architecture - Partner with programme stakeholders to define and evolve minimum viable solution architectures, promote a DevOps mindset, and undertake design reviews of delivery programs of high architectural significance Qualifications Required: - Extensive knowledge of solution architecture frameworks, modern technologies (Cloud, microservices, AI), agile architecture, and DevOps practices - Deep understanding of business use cases and emerging trends driving organizational success - Experience in defining and developing strategic solution architectures aligned with organizational objectives - Ability to engage with partners to define architectures delivering tangible business outcomes - Collaborative decision-making processes and creating business cases to secure investment for architecture initiatives - Quality assurance of architecture designs, risk management, governance, and participation in architecture and design reviews - People capability development, mentoring, supporting professional development, knowledge sharing, and promoting best practices,
