**Job Description:** As an Assistant Vice President at this company based out of Pune, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and enhance software solutions using various engineering methodologies to cater to business, platform, and technology needs for customers and colleagues. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions through the utilization of industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization of the code. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. - Engage in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing within the team. - Stay updated on industry technology trends, contribute to the organization's technology communities, and foster technical excellence and growth. - Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and deliver secure software solutions. - Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. **Qualifications Required:** - Proficient in capturing functional and non-functional requirements, SWIFT Interact, and FileAct protocols. - Ability to conceptualize and implement end-to-end business solutions, design Straight Through Processing (STP) workflows, and manage risks effectively. - Highly valued skills such as data handling, transaction reconciliation, application integration, stakeholder communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, documentation, process mapping, basic programming/database knowledge (e.g., SQL/PL SQL), and familiarity with Agile Methodology. *Note: The company values Barclays Values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, as well as the Barclays Mindset to Empower, Challenge, and Drive.* ,
