As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and leading the technical architecture of cloud-native applications, focusing primarily on AWS. Your responsibilities will include: - **Technical Ownership:** Leading the architecture of complex cloud-native systems to ensure scalability, security, and resilience. - **Cloud Strategy & Deployment:** Designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS or GCP, following best practices in infrastructure as code and CI/CD. - **Microservices Architecture:** Developing RESTful and event-driven microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Kafka. - **Containerization & Orchestration:** Deploying and managing microservices at scale using Docker and Kubernetes. - **Security & Compliance:** Implementing secure systems with OAuth2, JWT, IAM, and ensuring alignment with compliance standards like SOC 2 / ISO 27001. - **DevOps & Automation:** Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD, and automating infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation. - **Data & Performance:** Architecting robust data models using PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems (MongoDB, DynamoDB) while optimizing application and database performance. - **Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborating with product managers, developers, and DevSecOps teams to align architecture with business and technical goals. - **Front-End Integration:** Having familiarity with front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks is considered a plus. In terms of qualifications, you should possess: - **Java Expertise:** 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Jakarta EE. - **Cloud Mastery:** Proven track record of designing and implementing solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure. - **Kafka / Messaging Systems:** Deep understanding of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message brokers in distributed architectures. - **CI/CD & DevOps:** Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Helm. - **Security First:** Knowledge of security frameworks including OAuth2, SAML, Zero Trust Architecture. - **Data-Driven Architecture:** Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis. - **Leadership:** Ability to drive technical decisions, mentor developers, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect), experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies, and front-end development experience with React/TypeScript.
