Solution Architect

As a Senior .NET + AWS Solution Architect, your role will involve leading the application modernization efforts and overseeing various key responsibilities to drive the transformation. Your experience of 10+ years will be instrumental in ensuring the successful modernization of legacy .NET Framework-based applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Application Modernization Leadership: You will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive modernization roadmap for a legacy .NET Framework-based application. - Workstream Oversight: Provide technical guidance across three critical tracks, including: - Quote Generation Optimization: Migrate large SQL Server tables (250GB+) to AWS DocumentDB and ensure seamless C# Windows Service integration. - Lift & Shift / Containerization: Oversee the migration of legacy Windows Services (.NET Framework) to AWS ECS containers. - Mainframe Dependency Elimination: Redesign data flows to replace Mainframe static data with AWS DocumentDB. - Architecture Strategy: Define and deliver a long-term architecture plan covering various aspects such as: - Migration of on-prem virtual machines to AWS EC2 - Migration of on-prem MySQL servers to AWS RDS - Transition from stored procedure-based logic to microservices architecture - UI modernization with the latest frameworks - Reporting & analytics modernization with modern BI tools - High Availability planning including primary/replica DB, DR strategy - Migration of Windows Service-based rule engine to AWS Serverless (Lambda + Step Functions) - Cloud Cost Optimization: Design AWS architecture focusing on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness. - Leadership & Collaboration: Partner with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to ensure alignment with performance and business goals. - Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively present architecture decisions, risks, and trade-offs to leadership and business stakeholders. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in software architecture & solution design. - Proven experience in modernizing ASP.NET Framework applications & Windows Services. - Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, DocumentDB, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM. - Strong background in cloud migration projects including lift-and-shift, containerization, and refactoring. - Expertise in databases like SQL Server, MySQL, DocumentDB/MongoDB with deep knowledge of data migration strategies. - Familiarity with mainframe integration and dependency elimination. - Strong understanding of microservices, serverless, and event-driven architecture. - Experience in designing HA, replication, and disaster recovery strategies. - Ability to make cost-conscious architecture recommendations balancing performance & scalability. - Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional team management skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.,
