Responsibilities

  • Present and promote smartShift capabilities to prospective customers, including demonstrating smartShift automation
  • During pre-sales, align solution capabilities to customer needs and, in collaboration with account executives, drive proposal development with detailed level technical and product expertise
  • Visit clients in support of Sales
  • Author white papers, present at conferences, and be a technology/solution evangelist for smartShift
  • Develop solution plans, cost margin estimates, and pricing recommendations
  • Incorporate lessons from customer and internal feedback and drive ongoing improvements to smartShift solutions. Provide feature and capabilities requirement inputs to smartShift product development
  • Continuously learn and advance an understanding of SAP strategy and approaches for custom application development, management of custom code, ABAP, conversion/upgrade methods, and modern SAP frameworks, especially Clean Core. Coach other smartShift colleagues on the benefits and capabilities of smartShift automation

Skills and Experience

Mandatory skills

  • 10+ years experience with SAP, with a background in ABAP custom development
  • 4+ years experience direct customer-facing experience in a delivery, product, or pre-sales capacity
  • Results-driven: confident, thrives on hard work and consistent challenge, and is quick on her/his feet. Can-do attitude
  • Excellent conceptual as well as written and verbal communications skills Business English
  • Experience responding to RFPs, writing quotes, developing SOWs, and reviewing/negotiating contract terms
  • Experience with planning and estimation; formal PMO certification or training is a plus
  • Passionate about learning new things, solving problems, and sharing knowledge gained, a natural teacher
  • Familiarity with all aspects of SAP ABAP custom object types, common development and upgrade challenges
  • Experience on multiple SAP project lifecycles
  • Experience with SAP upgrades and migrations, especially HANA and S/4HANA
  • Unsatisfied with doing things via the status quo and always looking for more efficiency and automation, a DevOps mindset
