Solidworks Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling and 2D Drafting:

  Creating detailed 3D part and assembly models, as well as 2D technical drawings, using SolidWorks.

• Design Validation:

  Performing stress analyses and simulations (FEA) to verify design integrity and performance before production.

• Documentation:

  Developing and maintaining comprehensive engineering documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and assembly instructions.

• Prototyping Support:

  Assisting in the development and testing of prototypes to evaluate new designs and components.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Working closely with other engineers, product designers, manufacturing teams, and sales departments to define requirements and resolve design issues.

• Design Improvement:

  Identifying opportunities for design improvements to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and product performance.

• Compliance:

  Ensuring that all designs adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

• Design Reviews:

  Participating in design review meetings, providing constructive feedback, and implementing changes as needed.

Essential Skills

• SolidWorks Proficiency:

  Expert-level skills in the SolidWorks software, including 3D modeling, assemblies, design tables, and technical drawing.

• Engineering Principles:

  A strong understanding of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and material properties.

• Technical Skills:

  Knowledge of simulation software (FEA), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and other CAD tools like AutoCAD.

• Soft Skills:

• Problem-Solving:

  The ability to identify and resolve complex design challenges.

• Attention to Detail:

  Meticulous focus on details to ensure design accuracy and quality.
