Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Technician to join our growing renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, or utility-scale projects. This role requires strong technical abilities, a commitment to safety, and the capability to work effectively in outdoor, hands-on environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical balance-of-system components according to design plans.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to wiring, inverters, modules, and other system components.
• Perform electrical testing including voltage/continuity checks and system performance verification.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service work, and site assessments.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, electrical codes, and industry best practices.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, project managers, and customers (if applicable).
• Assist with system commissioning and final quality checks.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy fields.
• Proven experience in solar PV installation or related electrical work (1–3 years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and workplace safety practices.
• Physical ability to climb roofs, lift heavy equipment, and work in various outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
