Position: Software Tester (Manual + Cypress Exposure)
Location: Bengaluru We are looking for an experienced Software Tester with strong expertise in manual testing and hands-on exposure to Cypress automation The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of IT experience (with a minimum of 5 years in software testing) and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software in agile environments, Main Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive manual test cases covering all functional requirements, Perform functional, regression, and integration testing with thorough defect reporting, Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand user stories and define clear acceptance criteria, Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as part of an agile team, Use agile tools (Jira, Confluence) for test tracking, documentation, and reporting, Contribute to continuous improvements in testing processes, practices, and automation adoption, Provide initial validation and maintenance of Cypress test scripts to support automation initiatives, Ensure business requirements are well understood and accurately reflected in testing outcomes, Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for product quality, Key Requirements 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in software testing, Strong background in manual testing, including writing exhaustive test cases, Exposure to Cypress automation (execution, script validation, and basic scripting), Proficiency with agile tools (Jira, Confluence) and test management systems, Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Ownership mindset with a focus on quality delivery, Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, Flexible and adaptable to dynamic business needs, Other Details This position is located in Bengaluru Candidates must be open to working in a fast-paced, agile environment and possess a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement in software development processes,
