Software Test Engineer

As an Engineer in Quality at PhonePe, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of large features, products, and services, focusing on the end user experience and impact. You take full ownership of the quality process and metrics for all releases, independently defining the execution path for your area of work. Your responsibilities include accounting for external dependencies, prioritizing tasks effectively, and establishing predictability by informing stakeholders about any delays or changes in release cycles. Leading by example, you evangelize the need for change, think logically, and build credible arguments to drive initiatives forward. Collaboration and building strong relationships with peers and team members are key aspects of your role. Leveraging your expertise in a specific area, you analyze and solve complex problems logically, delivering solutions even in the face of incomplete information and unexpected changes. Your ability to adapt to change, break down testing tasks efficiently, identify and eliminate bottlenecks, and manage multiple priorities demonstrate your strong organizational and problem-solving skills. With a minimum qualification of a BTech, MTech, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, you bring over 4 years of software development and testing experience, along with proficiency in automation tools for UI, mobile applications, API, web, and performance testing. Your strong coding skills, experience in mobile app testing, knowledge of test methodologies and tools, and familiarity with continuous integration tools and version control systems make you a valuable asset to the team. Creativity, initiative, and a willingness to switch between high-priority assignments are qualities that set you apart.
