Software Test Engineer - Manual Testing

As a skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer specializing in Manual Testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by identifying bugs, improving test coverage, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities: - Perform manual testing on web and/or mobile platforms with a strong focus on user experience and functionality. - Analyze functional requirements, raise clarifications to ensure complete understanding. - Design, write, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios. - Review test documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards. - Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring readiness for test execution. - Execute module, integration, system, and regression testing across releases. - Perform Black Box, Regression, and Functional Testing to validate business requirements. - Log and track bugs using tools like JIRA, following through to resolution. - Update test documentation based on evolving requirements or feature changes. - Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts within Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks. - Actively participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. - Recommend and implement improvements to test coverage and QA processes. - Apply understanding of test strategy, planning, and reporting best practices. - Conduct basic SQL queries for backend data verification (preferred). - Exposure to automation tools like Selenium IDE/WebDriver and performance tools like JMeter is a plus. Required Skills: - 4+ years of hands-on experience in manual software testing. - Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and defect lifecycle. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments. - Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect reporting. - Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA). Preferred Skills (Nice To Have): - Basic SQL knowledge for data validation. - Exposure to Selenium or other automation frameworks. - Familiarity with JMeter or similar performance testing tools.
