Job Description | Software Test Engineer Description Software Test Engineer is primarily responsible for understanding therequirements, creation of feature test cases, and doing manual testingproducts and custom projects. Product testing will include testing ofcore product line and also doing testing for production fixes (L3). Testengineer is also required to simulate production issues and help in analysis along with development team. Projects testing may covertesting custom solutions / third party products outside core productsuite. Additionally, this position requiresthe test engineer to interactand contribute within a cross-functional team environment. Testengineer is also expected to do end to end product installation testing and be aware of product configurations. The position is Noidaoffice but for official purpose the candidate may have to do domesticand international travel. Education B.E/B. Tech/MCA/Graduate in Computer Science. Experience Up to 3-5 years; relevant 3 years. Required Skills 3 years of experience in testing (preferably in enterprisesoftware). Writing test cases, executing them, providing test results andanalyzing and detailing issues. Verification of issues, appropriate logging and subsequentpostfix (patch release) testing. Experience of software quality tools API Testing and performance testing Knowledge of relational databases, SQL Server, datamodeling or creating queries and stored procedures Knowledge of internet protocols and web servercommunications including HTTP, web sockets, RESTful APIs. Experience / Knowledge of Java programming Knows and follows the agile development methodology Ability to work on multiple projects and multitask Analytical and have problem solving skills A self-driven, organized, goal oriented individual with apositive attitude Must be flexible in hours when extraordinary situationsdemand Knowledge of software testing tool will be an added advantage- JMeter, Selenium, AppScan, ZAP, Burp Key Responssibilitie Understanding and analyzing requirements for testing, Documentation (test cases, test results, bug / issues), liaising as appropriate with other functional areas for reporting and verifying issues. API testing Performance testing Regular reporting and delivery to agreed timescales. Analyze issues / bugs and provide complete details while reporting bugs Simulate product issues and assist in L3 fixes Work according to company Quality procedures Additionally to communicate issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates. To do end to end complex product installation testing Uses JIRA as engineering tool for creating tasks, work log, updating work progress, effort logging etc. Performs other duties as assigned and prioritized. Escalate any delays in work assigned, issues in products or otherwise to the reporting manager. Should be individual contributor Miscellaneous Desired skills: Experience in scripting JavaScriptExperience in automation testing Knowledge of Agile and Lean Processes
