Software QA Engineer for CAD Automation tools

As a Software QA professional within the Packaging Application Development (PD PAC) team at Siemens Energy in India, your role involves developing and maintaining software applications for product selection and automation. You will collaborate with a distributed team of domain experts to understand client requirements and translate them into test cases. The team follows SCRUM Methodology and Utmost Programming for rapid development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Test, maintain, and support custom engineering automation software applications - Develop and manage Quality Planning strategy, including Traceability Matrix, Test plans, Test Cases, and Test Scenarios - Conduct various types of application testing such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing - Create and execute unit test cases based on functional requirements - Build and maintain application test automation framework using Selenium and QTP/UFT - Document and review QA process and test results with project team and Key users - Develop test scripts for component testing using C# and other testing tools - Utilize debugging skills to identify root causes of issues and maintain technical project documentation **Qualifications Required:** - BS in Computer Science, Mechanical and/or Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Technology or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience - 3+ years of experience in software QA tools and processes, including automation scripts using QTP/UFT and Selenium - Proficiency in .Net Technologies, C#, SQL, and API testing tools like Postman and SoapUI - Experience in web application testing and familiarity with Visual Studio Testing Tools - Exposure to tools like JIRA and TFS is a plus Siemens Energy's Transformation of Industry division focuses on decarbonizing the industrial sector and enabling sustainable processes.
