Job Description

As an engineer in the team developing solutions in Cisco's routing and cloud technologies for web scalers and service providers, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering support for large-scale customer deployments. Your responsibilities will include: - Actively engaging with all teams across Cisco to leverage solutions and support communication networks - Collaborating with technical community and respected networking guides to ensure product quality and meet customer technical requirements - Supporting some of the world's largest Web scaler and Service Provider networks - Working with Product management, Sales, and Marketing teams on customer engagements covering current technologies - Providing critical engineering support for very large-scale customer deployments - Driving your team towards technical expertise and customer success - Taking ownership and resolving critical customer issues in Cisco's Routing portfolio - Being a critical point of contact for technical and operational issues requiring engineering expertise - Applying analytical skills and technical knowledge to resolve complex product and network problems - Supporting Cisco customer-facing teams and customers, providing updates on deployment projects - Engaging with customer-facing teams and traveling to customer sites as needed - Recreating and solving complex problems in systems using lab setups - Identifying systematic problems and driving long-term solutions for better customer experience Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's in STEM with experience in network engineering - Demonstrated experience with protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN, BFD, IPv4/IPv6, MPLS TE/FRR, L2/L3VPN, RSVP, Multicast) - Experience with real-time operating systems like IOS-XR and Linux - Experience with large scale routing and switching architectures - Experience diagnosing and resolving networking issues in live customer environments Preferred Qualifications: - CCIE routing or CCIE Service Provider - Familiarity with internal Cisco organization and eco-system - Master's Degree or equivalent experience in STEM - Expertise with IOS XR based platform architectures - Knowledge and experience with AI concepts and applications Cisco is revolutionizing data and infrastructure connectivity and protection in the AI era and beyond.
