Job description Responsible for initial deployments of new routing products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs. Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment. Design and implement routing systems and networks. Responsible for RFI/RFP. Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design). Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs). Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same. Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions. Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.). Optimize network performance and ensure high availability. Interact with diverse teams like RD, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems. Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG TAC Team. Develop and implement network security measures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Mandatory skills: Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, SR. Should have understanding and application of MPLS based on LDP, RSVP and BGP. Should be an expert in FRR techniques at various layers (IP FRR, RSVP TE FRR). Should be an expert in L2VPN, VPLS, VPWS and L3VPN service constructs. Should have hands-on working experience in service provider networks or product testing. Should have customer interaction experience. Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad. Professional level Certification for Service Provider is a plus. Desired skills: Certification in routing (CCNP, CCIE-SP/JNCIE-SP etc.). Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.). Preferred Qualifications: Experience: 10 to 15 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background. Education: Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree. Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture. Who You Will Work With Youll collaborate closely with software developers, working side by side to ensure robust and high-quality product releases. Youll engage with field-facing teams to understand customer deployments and feedback, representing customer use-cases directly to engineering teams. As a test expert, youll also work with networking experts to validate platform integration, scalability, and performance. Additionally, you will interact with product managers and technical documentation teams to align testing efforts with real-world application and market needs. What Youll Do Use every means possible to find the bugs in the software and/or hardware being developed by your team. Write test plans to validate Arista features and products. Design test network topologies to validate functionality, performance, stability and scalability of features and products. Execute test plans to verify all aspects of the product. Identify defects and validate resolution. Work as an agile member of a combined development and test team, running in short cycles to develop functional software in quick iterations. Work with the developers in creating their plans for automated tests to complement the exploratory testing that you perform. Be the testing expert for your team. Participate in functional specification and software design reviews held by the development team and provide customer centric input. Qualifications: BS CS/CE/EE plus 3+ years of experience in networking. MS degree preferred A minimum of one year of hands-on experience testing SONiC is a must (manual testing experience strongly desired). Strong working knowledge of SONiC architecture - SAI, FRR open routing stack (formerly Quagga, Zebra), Redis-DB, docker and minigraph Hands on experience with Linux operating system and its associated technologies (e.g. Virtualization, Kubernetes & more) Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/ MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, IGMP, PIM SM/ SSM, QoS, L2-L3 protocols, Platform validation, HA, QOS, network management. Knowledge of forwarding ASICs, FPGAs and network processors highly desired Proven expertise in creating test methodologies and writing test plans. Experience with IXIA and/or Spirent test tools desired Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages desired Strong communication skills. ACE/CCIE/JNCIE certifications are a plus.
