Seeking a software engineering manager to join the Evernorth Core Platforms Engineering team. This role will lead a team focused on delivering packaged business capabilities (PBCs) adhering to enterprise development best practices. This is a highly collaborative team that owns and builds some of the most critical business capabilities that are deployed individually and/or collectively across multiple applications, platforms, and devices. Craftsmanship, pride in ownership and passion for excellence are core expectations. This role will lead developers who have experience developing PBCs which combine data schemas, APIs, event channels and Micro-Ui into a single entity. The Manager will navigate, influence, and deliver results by working with multiple teams. They are expected to work closely with developers, technical project managers, principal engineers and business stakeholders to ensure that application solutions meet business / customer requirements. Responsibilities: Experience with Packaged Business Capabilities. Lead a fast-moving team, working with the latest tools and open-source technologies Design and develop our next generation of APIs and Event driven services in a distributed environment Use advanced, distributed technologies to process, store, and quickly retrieve huge volumes of data Work on a development team using agile methodologies Provides leadership, vision, and architectural / design direction for the team. Ensure PBCs adhere to architectural best practices and coding standards Mentor junior engineers and help them develop their PBC development skills Plans and implements procedures to maximize engineering and operating efficiency for application integration technologies. Identifies opportunities and drives process improvements. Takes accountability for the technology assets owned by the team. Qualifications: Required Skills: Experience with scripting languages such as Golang, TypeScript or Java. Strong experience with Event Driven Architecture Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures and Web Standards Strong understanding of parallel processing, concurrency and asynchronous concepts Experience with developing RESTful web services Experience with Kubernetes Strong experience with enterprise level N-tier web applications Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google App Engine, or Heroku) Relational Database - experience using Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, or SQL Server NoSQL Database - DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra Caching - Redis, Memcached Experience with Application Monitoring Tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Dynatrace etc) Strong experience with enterprise security Including IAM Roles & Policies, OAuth 2.0 / OIDC, Encryption, API Gateways and Firewalls Strong experience with Continuous Integration/Deployments (GitLab CI / GitHub Actions) Strong influencing / negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills. Strong time and project management skills. Must haves: Total Experience Range 11 to 13 Yrs Shift Timings 1pm to 10pm Location Hyderabad Domain Healthcare is preferred 6+ yrs in any language (C#, .Net, Java, Python, GoLang, Typescript, Javascript) 4+ yrs as a People Manager - experienced with handling multiple teams two are more teams. Aws certification good to have - Experience in delivering and deploying on AWS services. 1+yrs Exp Required Experience & Education: 11 to 13 years of experience Proven experience leading/managing technical teams with a passion for developing the talent within the team. Experience with vendor management in an onshore / offshore model. Strong written and verbal communication skills can interact with all levels of the organization. Desired Experience: Healthcare experience / US Health insurance experience. Coaching of team members
