Software Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at FNZ, you will assist the Head of Development in overseeing technical and personnel management duties within the global Delivery function. Reporting to the local Head of Development in your region, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Acting as a direct line manager for a group of Development Leads and/or Senior Analyst Developers - Ensuring overall performance and promoting a culture of excellence - Setting and maintaining a technical roadmap for the solution center - Being a key contact person for technical issues and participating in recruitment activities - Supporting client engagements and providing input into project resourcing Additionally, you will be responsible for: - Implementing performance improvement plans and identifying opportunities for developer training - Working on process improvements within the development team - Collaborating with the solution center leadership team - Providing coaching and mentorship to Development Leads - Ensuring work-life balance for staff - Onboarding new starters and improving hardware and software resources - Upholding coding standards and best practices To excel in this role, you should have: - A first-class bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - At least 10 years of experience in large-scale technology delivery projects - Proficiency in Microsoft .NET development products, web development technologies, and financial products and markets - Strong industry knowledge and line management experience - A passion for helping individuals achieve their career goals - An independent working style, quick learning ability, and commitment to high performance At FNZ, the culture is centered around growth, teamwork, and innovation.
