Description
In addition to Delivery, the candidate should have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset. They should drive the adoption of CI/CD tools and support the improvement of the tools sets / processes. Responsibilities: Perform software development and maintenance of entity-based micro services architecture using Java / J2EE including Java 1.8+ features like Lambdas, Streams, and Filters and with different frameworks like Spring Boot, Pivotal Cloud, Jenkins, Kafka Streams, and REST. Implementing test suites to test the developed functionalities based on test scenarios proposed by Product Owner using Test Automation Frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Cucumber, etc. to ensure code quality and performance. Working in an AGILE environment with bi-weekly sprints and provided work updates in daily SCRUM calls, maintaining industry level best practices for software development using wide varieties of latest technologies and frameworks. Participating in software/hardware configuration, releases, and installation tasks. Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including design, code, test, troubleshoot and document engineering software applications. Demonstrating the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience level. Working on developing REST APIs (Micro Services) to expose REST end points which will be consumed by the end users as per the internal business requirements. Research on new technologies and document them in timely manner to enhance API processing performance, test driven development (including code coverage of 95%), behavior driven development where automation is done using Junit / Cucumber. Maintain proper logging to monitor the request / response time and TPS of the application, closely monitor the daily transactions history using industry standard monitoring tools. Deploy the code into the PCF and OpenShift platforms through Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodology (Jenkins) after each successful implementation of new feature. Coordinate with other teams as the applications are micro services, rectify the issues while consuming the dependent APIs, and fix the issues if necessary Participate in code reviews after each successful push in the repo, suggest if any changes required to maintain the cleaner and concise code. Qualifications Required Skills: Take ownership and accountability of the application/tasks. Design, develop, and maintain applications that leverage Generative AI technologies. Proficiency with most of the following technologies- Java / J2EE, Spring Boot. Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership. Required Experience & Education: 6-8 years of experience in Java / J2EE, and Spring Boot Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and frameworks (e.g., GPT4, Co-pilot, Gemini). Experience with AI model deployment and monitoring is good to have. Understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations in AI. Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions. Experience in designing and building REST web services using Java at internet scale Strong in Java (v8 plus) Strong in Spring Boot and MVC framework Good to have experience with Python and relevant experience with the latest LLM versions. Proficient in PCF / OpenShift / Cloud deployments Experience with tuning high-volume applications Experience with caching products Experience with working in Agile environment Proficient in Git, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline Strong in JUnit, Mockito frameworks College degree (Bachelor) in related technical / business areas or equivalent work experience. Desired Experience: Exposure to OpenShift, PCF and AWS Healthcare experience including PBM business model. Coaching of junior / new team members
