Role Title: Software Engineering Associate Advisor Cloud & AI

Position Summary:

Cigna, a leading Health Services company, is seeking a talented and forward-thinking AI Cloud Engineer to join our Data & Analytics organization. This role blends full-stack engineering expertise with cutting-edge AI and cloud technologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable systems that power intelligent applications, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of whats possible with Artificial Intelligence.

This position requires fluency in critical technologies, a hunger to learn, and a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You ll work end-to-end from understanding requirements to deploying production-ready software while driving automation, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Write referenceable & modular code and have experience in all the phases of SDLC

Hands on experience developing or using CI/CD solutions for application.

Be inquisitive, analytical, and investigative, all while keeping customer in mind

Take ownership and accountability and have a desire to simplify, automate

Have a quality mindset, not just code quality but also to ensure ongoing data quality by monitoring data to identify problems before they have business impact

Experience Required:

8-11 Years of overall experience in Software Engineering

Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks

Experience with Langchain or similar AI-focused libraries

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS

Solid understanding of database systems and ORM technologies

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)

Experience Desired:

2+ years being part of Agile teams Scrum or Kanban

4+ years of hands-on experience in programming language Python. (Python is preferred)

1+ years in Web development frameworks like React, Angular, other Node.js based systems, Django, React-native, etc.

3+ years of REST APIs

4+ years of scripting (Python, Shell etc.)

3+ years of experience with any. Enterprise level database (Postgres, Db2, TDV, Redshift, My SQL or any other cloud DB)

Experience with GitHub/Jenkins

Troubleshooting skills

Strong communication skills

Fluent in BDD and TDD development methodologies

Experience with AWS /Azure cloud technologies, terraform, CloudFormation is a plus

Experience with data platforms such as databricks or snowflake

Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and workflows

Contributions to open-source projects
