Software Engineer / Test Automation

As a Software Engineer at UBS, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing digital products and technology services for clients and employees. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying a wide range of software engineering practices to analyze user needs, develop new features, conduct automated testing, and ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Building observability into solutions, monitoring production health, resolving incidents, and remediating risks and issues - Understanding, representing, and advocating for client needs - Sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues, contributing to engineering culture, and internal communities - Contributing to the design of the overall solution architecture - Working with innovative technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud technologies - Implementing solutions based on the Flowable product and state-of-the-art technologies Your team will be part of the WMPC EMEA Strategy and Product Management team in Pune, focusing on devising solutions for business teams and clients within a demanding, fast-paced, and innovative environment. To excel in this role, you should have: - A bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Interest in learning new technologies, practices, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Strong communication skills, from presentations to technical writing - Experience with logic algorithms, design patterns, optimizations, and legacy code bases - Proactive mindset and ability to work in dynamic environments - Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, and Kanban delivery approaches - Experience with Cloud architecture and engineering, ideally on Microsoft Azure UBS, the world's largest global wealth manager, operates through four business divisions and has a presence in over 50 countries.
