Software Engineer / Test Automation

As a Software Engineer at UBS, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing digital products and technology services for clients and employees. Your responsibilities will include: - Applying a range of software engineering practices to analyze user needs, develop new features, conduct automated testing, and ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Integrating observability into solutions, monitoring production health, resolving incidents, and remediating risks and issues - Advocating for client needs, sharing knowledge with colleagues, contributing to engineering culture, and internal communities - Implementing solutions using state-of-the-art technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and cloud technologies - Contributing to the design of the overall solution architecture and working with innovative technologies from the open-source world Your expertise should include: - Holding a bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline - Being interested in learning new technologies, reusing strategic platforms, evaluating options, and making decisions with long-term sustainability in mind - Strong communication skills for presentations and technical writing - Experience with logic algorithms, design patterns, optimizations, and development approaches - Proactive nature and ability to work in dynamic environments - Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Framework, Scrum, and Kanban delivery approaches - Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks and experience with Cloud architecture, ideally on Microsoft Azure UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager, with operations in more than 50 countries across four business divisions.
