Software Engineer

Talent Formula is a consulting firm that offers outsourced financial and accounting talent to Chartered Accounting firms worldwide. We are currently sourcing for Software Developer. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, can fit in the team with the following requirements.

 The Software Developer is a new and unique role critical to helping us realize our vision for new and valuable data products and services. As a Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and platforms that enable the creation and deployment of data products. Key Responsibilities:

•      Develop Integrations Dependent on Multiple APIs

•      Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs capable of handling thousands of requests per day

•      Integrate with multiple third-party systems having fault tolerant APIs.

•      Build multiple types of streaming integrations where we stream data with other clients using different types of mechanisms such as webhooks and polling.

•      Implement AI-driven workflows where integrations interact intelligently with external systems using agentic capabilities

Integration with Existing Systems:

•      Integrate seamlessly with existing platforms, internal tools, and AI agent frameworks

•      Ensure data transfer follows best practices and take a preventative approach in exposing PI data

•      Collaborate closely with backend teams to ensure smooth deployment and interoperability of intelligent agents and microservices

Performance Optimization:

•      Monitor and optimize the performance of the integration and following best practices.

•      Identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies across backend and AI agent workflows

•      Proficient in caching mechanisms.

Error Handling and Robustness:

•      Implement error-handling mechanisms to manage and recover from failures or unexpected outputs from the backend systems

•      Ensure functionality is resilient and fault tolerant

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

•      3+ years of professional experience in backend development or API engineering

•      Strong Python programming skills, with expertise in Flask and/or Django

•      Hands-on experience designing and building AI agents and familiarity with Agentic AI concepts

•      Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, but AWS or Azure is acceptable).

•      Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

•      Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams

•      Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on backend technologies.
