Software Engineer (Node.js)

As a Backend Developer at Avya Technology, your role will involve developing, maintaining, and optimizing backend services using Node.js and Express.js. You will be responsible for designing and managing databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB to ensure high performance and responsiveness. Your duties will include creating and maintaining RESTful APIs and WebSocket connections using Socket.io. Collaboration with frontend developers is essential to ensure seamless integration with React.js / Next.js applications. It will also be your responsibility to write clean, scalable, and well-documented code, implement security and data protection measures, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance. Prior experience in developing eCommerce applications and chat applications is a must, along with working closely with DevOps to deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments. Your qualifications and skills should include: - At least 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer - Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js - Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB - Experience in API development and integration - Knowledge of WebSockets (Socket.io) for real-time applications - Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.) - Familiarity with React.js / Next.js is a plus - Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus - Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail The interview process at Avya Technology will consist of Application Review, HR Screening, Technical Assessment, Final Interview, and Offer & Onboarding.
