Retail and Emerging Tech: This is the team which builds reusable technologies that aid in acquiring customers, onboarding and empowering merchants besides ensuring a seamless experience for both these stakeholders. They also optimize tariffs and assortment, adhering to the Walmart philosophy - Everyday Low Cost. In addition to ushering in affordability, they also create personalized experiences for customers the omnichannel way, across all channels - in-store, on the mobile app and websites. Our team is responsible for design, development, and operations of Walmart Fulfillment System (WFS), designed to attract new marketplace sellers to increase assortment, speed up delivery, and monetize out Omnichannel Supply Chain assets. This position is focused more on how to bring in Operational Excellence and look at opportunities to bring in improvements in the current WFS eco-system by building new Tools & Capabilities as well as look for Automation opportunities. This will also include ensuring that every feature release of WFS has adequate Alerts & Monitoring and Observability Dashboards setup. What youll do: Drive design, development, implementation and documentation Build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting associates of Walmart worldwide. Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community. Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products. Drive the success of the implementation by applying technical skills, to design and build enhanced processes and technical solutions in support of strategic initiatives. You will use your engineering experience and technical skill to develop highly scalable and robust solutions. You will work with Engineering Lead/architect. Work closely with the Architects and cross functional teams and follow established practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery). Within the established architectural guidelines. What You ll bring : 3-6 years of experience building highly scalable, high performance, responsive web applications Good foundation in data structures, algorithms and design patterns Strong understanding of Javascript, Node JS, and Frontend frameworks Good Experience of React and Redux Experience using OO and Functional Programming paradigm Understands whole product, its modules, and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module Helps in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules Possesses advanced domain knowledge and shows great customer focus Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions Good with processes/methodologies and Skilled in build, release ; deployment processes Understanding and adapting frontend security and performance best practices Experience in Type Script Good in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks. Shows the ability to effectively delegate work. Experience with Node Js Frameworks (Express / Hapi) Full stack experience with Java/JEE backend, with exposure to work with GQL, APIs System Performance mindset with good understanding for the best practises and reusable patterns
