As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking technology team, you will be an integral part of an agile team focused on designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products. Your role involves contributing to the technology modernization of UI and Backend applications in BAT ASM. You will execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think innovatively. Your responsibility includes creating secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms synchronously, and producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications. Additionally, you will gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from diverse data sets to enhance software applications and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to technology modernization of UI and Backend application in BAT ASM - Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting - Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms - Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications - Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large data sets - Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements - Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events - Enhance team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience - Experience in UI and backend development using technologies like react or spring boot microservices - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Proficient in coding in one or more languages - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment - Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle - Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security - Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline In addition to the above qualifications, familiarity with modern front-end technologies like react and exposure to cloud technologies like AWS would be advantageous for this role.
