Software Engineer III

Role Overview: As a part of Guidewire's Product Development and Operations team based in Bangalore, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud native systems to deliver the Insurance Platform to customers with quality. You will operate as a start-up within a highly influential InsurTech company, driving engineering best practices, leading architecture and design discussions, and partnering with product management to set and achieve goals. Key Responsibilities: - Operate as a start-up within a highly influential InsurTech company - Drive engineering best practices such as TDD and GitOps - Lead architecture and design discussions, representing the team in cross company decisions - Partner with product management and engineering leadership to set and deliver goals - Develop and ship scalable and cloud native software systems - Create and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC - Utilize Machine Learning and Generative AI to enhance user experience - Engage in pair programming for continuous learning and improvement Qualifications Required: - Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a leadership mindset - Demonstrate an attitude for learning, sharing, innovation, and helping others succeed - Minimum 5 years of experience as a software developer or a system engineer - Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Python, or any high-level languages - Proficiency in public cloud technologies (preferably AWS), Containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and DevOps practices - Hold a BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields About Guidewire: Guidewire is the trusted platform for P&C insurers to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently by combining digital, core, analytics, and AI solutions.
