Software Engineer III

In this role, you will collaborate in a dynamic environment to develop features, enhancements, and bug fixes for the platform that enables Guidewire customers to connect their cloud systems. What you would do: - Design, develop, and operate cloud-native integration platform and SaaS services - Engage in hands-on coding for more than 90% of your time - Take ownership of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) processes for your services - Ensure scalability, availability, and data security of your services - Identify and resolve code defects - Uphold secure coding practices and address application security vulnerabilities What You Would Need To Succeed: - Minimum of 6+ years of relevant work experience - Proficient programming skills in Java - Familiarity with the Apache Camel integration framework is a bonus - Strong background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, multithreading, and AWS (or any public cloud) - Deep comprehension of Algorithms, Data Structures, and performance optimization strategies - Working knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, and Docker - Experience with AWS DynamoDB - Additional experience with React.js, SQS, S3, and Kafka is advantageous - Understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles (e.g., consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms) - Ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced work environment - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Guidewire is the trusted platform for P&C insurers seeking to effectively engage, innovate, and grow.
