As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Technology Office team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead and support the transition of current processes and products to UiPath as part of the overall automation strategy.
  • Create and sustain strong automations for web, desktop, Excel, and mainframe environments using UiPath.
  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues with minimal supervision.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, infrastructure teams, and support groups.
  • Analyze and develop complex scripts or queries in Python, JavaScript, VB, or C# to meet automation and integration requirements.
  • Utilize AI/ML concepts and tools to improve automation logic and operational intelligence.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC and Agile best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on experience in automation development, with intermediate to advanced expertise in UiPath.
  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language, such as Python.
  • Experienced with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiar with containerized/microservices environments.
  • Analytical and debugging skills, capable of understanding complex process flows and quickly identifying root causes.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving abilities with a high degree of ownership and urgency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to AI/ML workflows and their practical application in automation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
