Position Description:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with excellent design, hands on development & technical skills along with good interpersonal skills, capable of working in highly critical transformation projects. As a senior front-end engineer at Attentive, you will help us design, develop and maintain beautiful interfaces and complex client-side applications of our SaaS product

Roles & Responsibilities

Write effective, scalable, and reusable codeDevelop and maintain user-facing elements integrated securely with the internal backendParticipate and contribute to system design and architecture discussionsTake full ownership of assigned modules and ensure product delivery as per agreed timelinesMentor junior team members and perform code reviewsConduct frequent brainstorming sessions, and motivate the team, and drive innovationsTest and debug programsImprove functionality of existing systemsImplement security and data protection solutionsAssess and prioritize feature requestsCoordinate with internal teams to understand user requirements and provide technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

In-depth knowledge of how the internet, websites, and browsers work (working knowledge of server technologies, HTTP protocol, CDN, and caching concepts)2-6 years of software development experience with deep expertise in frontend technologiesCore UI Development experience with expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScriptExperience with Next.js, React.js, TypeScript and relevant libraries such as React Query, Zustand etc.Strong UX sense to provide efficient solutions in the product design processProduct & Design Knowledge - Experience with Product Development and developing functional componentsUnderstanding of SEO principlesUnderstanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workable solutionsExperience with designing responsive interfaces for different screen sizes (mobile, tablet, laptop)Team spirit and good problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of cloud services like AWS and GCPExperience working with testing frameworks/libraries such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing LibraryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in both start-up and enterprise environmentsWorking knowledge of browser automation technologies like Selenium web driver

Good To Have

Understanding of Geographic Information Systems and related terminologies is preferredUnderstanding of front-end mapping libraries like OpenLayers, Leaflet etc.Understanding of webpack config, web page speed and size optimizationUnderstanding of Docker build system and deployment configurations.
