Description
In this role, your responsibilities will include researching, designing, and implementing application software/Measurement IP/components for test systems used to validate RFICs such as Power Amplifiers, RFFE, Transceivers (TRx), Filters, Switches, etc. You will collaborate with global R&D teams on feature dependencies, product release, customer critical issues, and design/develop IP/features for re-usability across systems/future opportunities. It is important to follow software development processes and best practices for design/development. Seeking feedback from Business Managers, System Architect, Application Engineers, and implementing their input is crucial. Providing technical leadership, facilitating technical decisions, contributing to design and code reviews, leading critical issues, customer escalations, and driving initiatives to advance the skills/competency of the team are also key responsibilities. Additionally, leading/mentoring junior engineers/technicians in the team will be part of your role. You are someone who promotes high visibility of shared contributions to goals, takes quick and significant action in constantly evolving, unexpected situations, seeks guidance from pertinent sources to make timely and well-informed decisions, and handles risks associated with moving forward when the outcome is uncertain. For this role, you will need a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, along with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the development of application/system/ATE for Test and Measurement, preferably for RF. Experience in the validation and characterization of RFIC devices/components, as well as using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, RF Instruments (VST, VNA, RFSA, RFSG), Protocol Analyzers, Function Generators, etc., is required. Hands-on design, development, and debugging skills in LabVIEW/C#/C++/Python, TestStand are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, good presentation skills, proven interpersonal skills, dedication to teamwork, a "can-do" spirit, team skills, self-starting ability, collaboration skills, ability to communicate multi-functionally, and effectiveness in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment are key attributes needed for this role. Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in the English language, are also required. Preferred qualifications that set you apart include experience using NI hardware, RF drivers, STS, and application software such as LabVIEW, TestStand, RFmx, RFIC Test Software, as well as experience with post-Silicon validation and production test of RFICs using NI RF instruments, RF drivers, and NI STS (Semiconductor Test System).
