The Semiconductor & Electronics BU (SEBU) Systems R&D unit of Emerson Test & Measurement Group is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Engineer, you will be involved in various projects ranging from system-level hardware and software components creation for systems like the Semiconductor Test System (STS) to designing system reference architectures for applications such as RF Front End Characterization, Data Converter Validation, Power Management IC Validation, PCB Assembly Test, or Semiconductor Device Control. Your role will also include exploring new and emerging application areas, collaborating with Sales, Offering Management, and Manufacturing teams to define future offerings. Your Responsibilities in this role will include: - Taking ownership of system and/or features, leading them from definition to release. - Collaborating with global R&D teams on feature dependencies, product releases, and customer critical issues. - Designing and developing IP/features for reusability across systems and future opportunities while following software development processes and standard methodologies. - Seeking feedback on system/features from Business Managers, System Architect, Application Engineers, and implementing necessary changes. - Providing technical leadership to projects/teams, making critical technical decisions, and contributing to code reviews. - Identifying and recommending architecture and process improvements for long-term product quality and development efficiency. - Leading the resolution of critical issues and customer partner concerns. - Driving initiatives to enhance the skills and proficiency of the team. - Cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - Mentoring junior engineers/technicians in the team. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with NI hardware, RF drivers, STS, and application software like LabVIEW, TestStand, RFmx, RFIC Test Software.
