Job Description

Maintain and enhance the DRz build system, which spans multiple languages and technologies.
Ensure smooth compilation, packaging, and SMPE installation of the product on z/OS.
Collaborate with global teams, including a structured handover from Hursley.
Contribute to feature development, particularly around ML integration and runtime improvements.
Troubleshoot build issues and support internal testing and deployment workflows.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred education

Master's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

5+ Years of experience
Strong working knowledge of the z/OS platform, including:
SMPE packaging and installation
ISPF, SDSF, USS (via SSH), JCL, and dataset management
Experience with C, COBOL, PL/I, and PL/X programming
Excellent communication and documentation skills for effective cross-site collaboration

Preferred technical and professional experience

8+ Years of experience
Familiarity with build systems (e.g., Make, Ant, Gradle, or custom scripts); not essential, as a full handover will be provided
Experience analyzing and resolving product dumps (core dumps, abends)
Java programming experience, especially in hybrid or embedded environments
Exposure to z/OS development tooling and debugging practices
