Software Engineer Backend

As a Backend Software Engineer at Rentofly, you will play a crucial role in designing and building robust backend services, APIs, and dashboards that enhance travel and rental experiences. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs. - Building and optimizing Next.js APIs and SSR components for internal/external dashboards. - Developing and optimizing SQL queries for efficient data access. - Collaborating with frontend/mobile teams to ensure seamless user experiences. - Deploying, monitoring, and maintaining applications on AWS and Azure cloud environments. - Ensuring scalability, high availability, and performance in backend services. - Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving backend performance bottlenecks. - Continuously exploring new tools and technologies to enhance backend efficiency. Required Qualifications: - 2-4 years of hands-on experience in backend software development. - Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript with proficiency in Node.js. - Experience with Next.js (API routes, SSR, ISR, middleware). - Proficiency in SQL query optimization, indexing, and schema design. - Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud services (compute, storage, databases, CI/CD). - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. - Familiarity with NoSQL databases, caching, and event-driven architectures is a plus. - Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to thrive in a collaborative startup environment.
