Description:

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and scaling core backend systems. You'll be involved in all stages of the product lifecycle and collaborate closely with cross functional teams including Tech, Design, and Quality to build impactful features.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and owning features end-to-end in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Architecting and implementing scalable, distributed server-side applications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participating in the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborating with product managers and fellow engineers to conceptualize and deliver robust solutions.
• Ensuring high performance, availability, and stability of backend services.
• Continuously evaluating and adopting new technologies to improve development efficiency and product quality.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. A degree from IITs/NITs or other top-tier institutes is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in software development, preferably in fast-paced startups or product companies.

Technical Skills:

• Strong programming skills in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.
• Good knowledge of Spring Boot, Java/J2EE, and common design patterns.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and multithreaded programming.
• Experience in building scalable and performant backend systems.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, MySQL, Redis.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience working with machine learning systems is a plus.
• Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry is a bonus.
