Work hard. Have fun. Make history. The Role:As a Software Development Manager in the Device OS, you will take part in the implementation and delivery of Linux graphics features for devices. You will work closely with the hardware and QA teams, as well as partners to take the product from concept to customer release while ensuring the highest level of quality for your deliverables. You must have in-depth expertise working with the Linux kernel, graphics and drivers and you must enjoy working on a variety of peripherals that are typically found in a consumer electronics mobile device.
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations- Experience partnering with product or program management teams- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
