Summary:We are looking for an Android Framework Engineer/Lead to design, develop, and optimize the Android platform framework layers for next-generation devices, including automotive, consumer electronics, and embedded systems. The role involves enhancing system services, APIs, and middleware to support new hardware, improve performance, and deliver innovative user experiences. Roles & Responsibilities:1.Design and develop features in the Android Framework layer (Java, C/C++, and JNI).2.Extend or customize Android System Services (e.g., Activity Manager, Power Manager, Window Manager, Audio, Camera, Connectivity).3.Collaborate with HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) and lower layers (drivers, BSP) for seamless hardwaresoftware integration.4.Optimize system performance (boot time, memory usage, CPU/GPU utilization, battery/power management).5.Work closely with the Application, Middleware, and Kernel teams to define cross-layer solutions.6.Debug, analyze, and resolve complex issues across Android framework and system services.7.Ensure compliance with CTS/GTS/VTS test suites and certification requirements.8.Mentor junior engineers and guide them in Android architecture and debugging best practices.9.Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions. Skills:
1.Years of experience in Infotainment domain with experience in Android Development.2.Strong hands-on experience in Android Framework development (Java, Kotlin, C/C++, JNI).3.Deep understanding of AOSP (Android Open Source Project) architecture and build system.4.Knowledge of Android internals:System Services (AMS, PMS, WMS)5.Knowledge of Android internals:Binder IPC and HIDL/AIDL6.Knowledge of Android internals:HAL and native libraries.7.Experience in debugging Android framework issues using tools like logcat, systrace, perf, gdb, adb8.Experience with System Performance Optimization (power, thermal, resource management).9.Familiarity with CTS/VTS/GTS compliance and certification processes.10.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.11.Exposure to Automotive Android (AAOS), infotainment systems, or embedded Android devices.12.Experience with Graphics, Multimedia (Audio/Video), Connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), or Camera frameworks.13.Familiarity with security and permission models in Android.14.Contributions to AOSP or open-source Android projects.15.Experience with hypervisors, virtualization, or multi-OS integration16.Good problem-solving and analytical skills.17.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
