Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Associate Instructor

You will be joining Newton School as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) + Associate Instructor focused on Web Development in the Computer Science Department. Your role will involve designing and delivering lectures, conducting lab sessions, and mentoring students in Frontend Development topics such as JavaScript, React.js, and TypeScript. You will collaborate with faculty, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum and ensure academic excellence. Key Responsibilities - Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in Frontend Development topics. - Manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on coding experience. - Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the curriculum. - Mentor students, assist with project work, and ensure academic growth. - Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation. - Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge research and industry collaborations. Qualifications & Experience - 4-6 years of experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Frontend Development. - Proficiency in JS, CSS, React.js, and Angular. - Solid understanding of Frontend Development concepts and modern frameworks. - Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms. - Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics. Good-to-Have - Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. - Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools. - Experience in software development and system design.
