The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Kula's products As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated tests to validate our software applications This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Who are we Kula is an all-in-one recruitment automation platform that automates the entire hiring process for recruiters so they can move faster while hiring the right candidates Think co-pilot for recruiters We have seen first-hand how using Kula increases recruiter yield by at least 50% and helps build a predictable pipeline while delivering a great candidate experience Skills & Qualification 2-5 years of experience in software testing Strong understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Java, Python,etc, Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate software applications, using tools like Selenium or Playwright Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in software applications, and develop strategies for addressing these issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure that software applications meet quality and reliability standards Analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions to resolve testing and quality-related problems Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and documentation to ensure efficient and effective testing Communicate testing results and recommendations to stakeholders, including engineering and product management teams Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, including mentoring and coaching to ensure their success and growth Staying up-to-date with the latest testing technologies and methodologies, and adapting to new tools and processes as needed
