Software Developer

Role & responsibilities

1. Software Development & Customization

• Develop, modify, and maintain

  hospital software modules

  (HIS, EMR, OP/IP billing, pharmacy, lab, radiology, and claims).
• Build new features based on

  clinical workflow requirements

  .
• Write clean, optimized, and well-documented code.
• Customize existing software based on department needs.
  

2. Application Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide

  L2/L3 technical support

  for HIS-related issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve

  bugs, errors, and workflow failures

  .
• Coordinate with vendors for third-party software fixes and updates.
  

3. Integration & Interfaces

• Develop interfaces for

  LIS, PACS, RIS, pharmacy, TPA portals, payment gateways

  , etc.
• Implement

  HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and API integrations

  between various clinical systems.
• Work with biomedical/IT teams for device-level data integrations.
  

4. Database Management

• Manage

  SQL queries, stored procedures, data extraction

  , and performance optimization.
• Ensure

  data accuracy, security, and backup processes

  .
• Support MRD/Billing teams for

  MIS reports and data pull requests

  .

5. Testing & Deployment

• Perform

  functional testing, UAT, and module verification

  before production rollout.
• Deploy new versions, patches, and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Document release notes and maintain version control.
  

6. User Training & Coordination

• Provide training to

  clinical, nursing, and billing teams

  on new features.
• Understand user requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from clinical/administrative departments.
  

Technical Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages:

• Java / .NET / Python / PHP / Node.js / Angular / React

• Database expertise:

• MySQL / SQL Server / Oracle

• Experience with:

• API development (REST / SOAP)

• HL7 / FHIR / DICOM (preferred in hospitals)

• HIS/EMR/LIS/PACS systems
• Familiarity with

  hospital workflows, billing logic, and clinical modules

  is a big advantage.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• MCA / M.Sc Computer Science is also acceptable.

• 25 years of experience

  in hospital or healthcare software development preferred.
• Experience in HIS/EMR software companies is highly desirable.
