Social Science Teacher (Indrayani Nagar Branch, Bhosari-411026) – Job Description Position Summary

A Social Science Teacher is responsible for teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and other related social studies areas. The role includes planning engaging lessons, facilitating discussions, encouraging critical thinking, and helping students understand society, culture, government, and global issues. The teacher fosters civic responsibility, analytical skills, and awareness of the world.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Instruction

• Plan, prepare, and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, Economics, etc.).
• Use engaging teaching methods such as discussions, debates, projects, presentations, and case studies.
• Integrate maps, charts, timelines, documentaries, and digital tools to enhance understanding.
• Encourage inquiry, critical thinking, and analytical skills in students.

Classroom Management

• Create a supportive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Establish and maintain clear rules and behavioral expectations.
• Support diverse learners through differentiated instruction and accommodations.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Prepare and administer exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
• Evaluate student performance using fair and consistent criteria.
• Provide timely feedback to students and maintain accurate academic records.
• Prepare report cards and progress reports according to school guidelines.

Communication & Collaboration

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, share teaching strategies, and plan school activities.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and professional development.
• Contribute to school events such as exhibitions, cultural programs, and social awareness activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MA in (History, Geography, Political Science, etc.).
• Teaching certification or license as required by local regulations.
• Strong content knowledge of social studies subjects.
• Effective communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire students to become informed and responsible citizens.
• Minimum Experience 3-5 yrs

Preferred Skills

• Experience using educational technology and interactive learning tools.
• Knowledge of current events, civic issues, and global trends.
• Creative approach to teaching complex concepts in relatable ways.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
