1. Position Overview

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing the organisation’s digital and social media strategy across educational initiatives, media content, and events. The role demands strong content skills, audience engagement expertise, and the ability to convert campaigns into measurable outcomes.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with brand objectives for education services, media projects, and events.
  
• Create digital calendars, campaign roadmaps, and content plans across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, etc.).
  
• Analyse target audiences and design campaigns to enhance brand visibility and lead generation.
  

B. Content Development & Execution

• Create high-quality content (posts, reels, shorts, blogs, stories) in coordination with design, video, and academic teams.
  
• Manage daily content publishing, engagement, and optimisation.
  
• Coordinate live coverage of events, seminars, conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
  
• Oversee content shoots, interviews, educational videos, and media-based content creation.
  

C. Social Media Management

• Manage official pages and channels, ensuring consistent messaging and timely updates.
  
• Monitor comments, queries, and messages; ensure prompt professional responses.
  
• Implement SEO and hashtag strategies for higher reach and visibility.
  

D. Analytics & Reporting

• Track KPIs, campaign metrics, and platform performance.
  
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on reach, engagement, impressions, and conversions.
  
• Recommend improvements and data-driven strategies for growth.
  

E. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work with academic teams, event coordinators, media producers, and leadership to align communication.
  
• Liaise with external agencies, photographers, videographers, and influencers when required.
  
• Ensure brand guidelines and compliance are strictly followed.
  

F. Event & Media Support

• Plan and execute social media promotion for events (pre-event awareness, live coverage, post-event highlights).
  
• Support media production, including educational content, podcasts, interviews, and promotional videos.
  
• Create event-based digital campaigns to maximise participation and registrations.
  

3. Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
  
• Certifications in Digital Marketing/Social Media Strategy (preferred).
  

Professional Skills

• Proven experience (2–5 years) in Social Media Management, preferably in education, media, or events sector.
  
• Strong communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  
• Proficiency with social media tools (Meta Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.).
  
• Ability to create and edit basic photo/video content.
  
• Knowledge of trends in EdTech, event marketing, and media communication.
