Job Overview:
The Project Team Lead will oversee the implementation of the Dementia Caregiving Initiative in Mumbai. This role requires strong managerial and operational skills to ensure smooth project delivery, staff supervision, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with timelines and budgets. The position is best suited for professionals with prior experience in health or social development projects, who are motivated to strengthen dementia caregiving support systems in India.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate the social mobilization and community engagement activities to ensure smooth implementation of project interventions as per timelines.
  • Conduct baseline assessments, focus group discussions, and community profiling to understand local needs, perceptions, and socio-cultural dynamics.
  • Facilitate participation of community members, school staff, parents, and local leaders in project activities through meetings, orientation sessions, and awareness drives.
  • Develop and implement communication and behavior change strategies, including IEC material design and dissemination, to promote awareness on project themes (e.g., hygiene, nutrition, water use, etc.).
  • Liaise with local authorities, NGOs, and community-based organizations to ensure coordination and synergy with existing government programs and community initiatives.
  • Monitor and document community-level activities, including attendance records, meeting minutes, photo documentation, and feedback reports.
  • Support in capacity-building sessions for facilitators, volunteers, and school/community representatives to strengthen local ownership and sustainability.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, case studies, and success stories highlighting community impact and learnings.
  • Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes by collecting qualitative insights and feedback from beneficiaries to inform project improvement

Profile Requisites:
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Rural Development, or related field.2–4 years of experience in community engagement, social mobilization, or public health/social development projects.
  • Experience working with schools, local governance structures, or government departments preferred.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Fluency in Hindi and Gujarati is must and willingness to travel extensively to field site.

Remuneration:
Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the consultancy fees range is 30000 to 40000 per month.
