Soc Power Architecture - Power Artist/PTPX

You will be joining the SOC Power Modeling team in the AMD Client Computing and Graphics group as an experienced engineer. Your role will involve collaborating with various engineering teams to impact the power & performance of AMD's Client products. - Collaborate with front end RTL, DFT, Synthesis, and Physical design teams to develop power intent (UPF) design at SoC level. - Work with the emulation team to provide power estimates during the pre-silicon design process using Power Artist/PTPX emulation environments and ensure power goals are achieved. - Generate data on design impact from clock and power gating, device type mix, and physical implementation options in coordination with RTL and physical design teams. - Track IP power development throughout the design cycle to ensure it meets power budgets at every milestone. - Validate low power design features at SoC and IP level with design verification. - Experience with Synopsys EDA tools, particularly PtPx/Power Artist. - Understanding of hardware emulation process, stimulus, and EDA flows. - Proficiency in Tcl and Python based scripting. - Familiarity with UPF.
