Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake SQL and Snowflake's data loading features.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to support data transformation and analytics.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business users to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Manage data ingestion from various sources including cloud storage, databases, and APIs into Snowflake.
Monitor and tune Snowflake performance by optimizing warehouses, caching, clustering keys, and resource utilization.
Implement data security, role-based access controls, and data governance policies within Snowflake.
Support data modeling and schema design following best practices for cloud data warehousing.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, performance, and system integration.
Document development processes, technical specifications, and deployment procedures.
Stay updated with Snowflake platform enhancements and cloud data trends.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience working with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and user-defined functions in Snowflake.
Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Matillion, Fivetran).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architectures.
Knowledge of data security best practices, including encryption, masking, and access control.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, or JavaScript) is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
