You are a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA) joining a team in Mumbai, responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Snowflake data warehouse. Your role is critical in supporting the growing data infrastructure in the private equity space. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee the day-to-day operation and management of the Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring high availability and performance. - Optimize Snowflake database for speed and efficiency, addressing any bottlenecks or issues. - Implement and maintain database security policies, including role-based access control (RBAC). - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with business requirements. - Monitor Snowflake usage, costs, and performance metrics, and make recommendations for cost optimization. - Ensure smooth data migrations and integrations with other systems. - Provide on-call support for critical database issues, ensuring minimal downtime. - Work on tuning SQL queries and improving database performance for optimal operations. - Keep up-to-date with Snowflake releases and best practices to ensure the platform is continuously optimized. **Key Qualifications:** - Minimum of 6 years of experience in database administration, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake. - In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning. - Strong proficiency in Snowflake SQL and expertise in role-based access control (RBAC). - Proven ability to manage large-scale data environments with a focus on stability, performance, and security. - Experience with Snowflake's best practices and strategies for optimizing cloud data environments. - Familiarity with data integration tools and cloud technologies. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
